Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed was this morning arrested outside Nation Centre. The vocal Cord MP was on his way from a live interview with NTV. Junet was one of the MPs summoned by the police over hate speech allegations. Reports have it the Jubilee politicians ordered to appear at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations honored the summons, but Cord side did not. Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama and Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire were put under house arrest since Monday night. Junet says police also went to his home but did not find him. They instead waited for him to complete the TV interview Tuesday morning. Siaya Senator James Orengo and Homa Bay MP Peter Kaluma were with Junet at the time of his arrest. They had come in after word went round that police were waiting outside the Nation Centre.
