Kenya bags four nominations in the 2016 Nigerian Entertainment Awards.

Kenya has bagged four nominations in the 2016 edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Awards. Afro-pop boy group Sauti Sol and gospel singer Papa Dennis have been nominated in the African Male Artist (Non Nigerian/ Africa) category. The two will battle it out against Ghanaian trio of Stonebwoy, Sarkodie and Bisa Kdei and Liberia’s FA, Deng and Eric Geso. Another Kenyan singer Victoria Kimani bagged a nomination in the African Female Artist (Non Nigerian/Africa) category. Victoria was nominated alongside Tanzanian pop queen Vannessa Mdee, Uganda’s Sheebah Ndiwanjawulo, Lira (South Africa), Efya and MZ Vee (Ghana), Adiouza (Senegal) and Rwanda’s Knowless Butera. In the African (Non Nigerian) Disc Jockey, Kenya’s DJ Joe Mfalme was nominated against Uganda’s DJ Slick Stuart & Roja, DJ Lebbie (Senegal), DJ Bossman (Liberia), DJ Mensah and DJ Vyrusky (Ghana). NEA has a primary objective of recognising the contributions of Nigerian and African entertainers.
