Maina Kageni and Bi Msafwari risk being guests of the state as KFCB boss vows to personally walk into their studios with police and arrest them!
Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Ezekiel Mutua has had enough of sexual topics and scenes on TV and radio at a time when children are active on TV and radio.
Mr. Mutua is serious about having all shows with sexual content to strictly air during watershed period, from 11pm onwards.
The KFCB boss particularly warned Maina and Kingangi and Citizen TV’s Bi. Msafwari. He also included Wedding Show on the list of shows that ought to tone down or operate during watershed period.
“So Muhamnad Ali, Ezekiel Mutua and KFCB are trending on twitter. Reason? Wedding Show Programmes, Marriage Counsellors like Bi Msafari ( Citizen TV ) and those who host such programmes, Maina & Kingangi ( Classic 105 ) will be required to take their adult sexual topics out of the watershed period. Anyone thinking we are kidding will be in for a rude awakening. I will walk to the studio with police and have the said Bi. Msafari, Maina & Kingangi arrested if they defy these guidelines. We must ensure that content meant for adults is not aired during the watershed period. This is not negotiable.” Ezekiel Mutua warned.
