This comes ahead of his scheduled tour of Ukambani region tomorrow where he is expected to launch several development projects worth sh 50 billion. The Opposition has accused Uhuru of using state resources and alleged projects to dupe voters into re-electing him next year. However, State House Spokesman, Manoah Esipisu, defended Uhuru saying he is simply delivering on pledges he made to Kenyans during campaigns in the run up to the 2013 General Elections. Esipisu denied CORD’s claims that Uhuru was using projects to lure voters but just discharging his duties. “The Government is committed to deliver all the projects pledged.” “And by commissioning the projects, the President is meeting the commitments and nothing more,” said Esipisu.
